Welcome to the DICE learning area.

This learning area has been designed to provide you with all the necessary knowledge that you need to develop your idea through the DICE methodology. The learning area will guide you through the different phases of idea development with learning videos taking centre stage.

Each video will help you to better understand one particular DICE tool. The video will give you clear guidelines on how to use the tool so that after watching the video you can go into your DICE Board and apply the tool.

The DICE Accelerator is built on Value Maps. A Value Map is a multi-level framework which consists of values, drivers and tools. This framework helps you identify specific areas for improvement in social impact and student learning within community engagement and guides you in developing an appropriate solution—a course.

There are two DICE Value Maps
  • Value Map for Social Impact: Focuses on specific activities to enhance community engagement and analyzes the tangible benefits of participating in digital community engagement.
  • Value Map for Student Learning: Addresses students' learning priorities and educational needs in the context of community engagement.

The following video will dive deep into the maps.

  • Total number of tools: 8
  • Estimated time to complete: 4.2 hours

DICE Phases

Phase 6

Feedback

This is the final section helping the instructor to receive feedback and enabling further improvement of the course for subsequent editions or for developing new digital community engagement activities.
